How to prepare an email campaign: a pre-send checklist
A useful campaign needs more than a good-looking design. Review who receives which message, the sending account, final content and unsubscribe route together.
Maptinger · Content updated:
One goal and clear content
Give the message one purpose: request a meeting, explain an update or answer a real inquiry. Synthetic draft: subject “Let’s review your booking page”; the body explains one relevant need; the next step is “Share a time for a 15-minute conversation”. This illustrates subject–body–CTA alignment, not a promised result. Check line breaks, special characters and personalization in the preview.
Freeze the recipient selection
When choosing several lists, check overlaps and invalid addresses. If two lists overlap by 30 people, do not treat them as independent groups. Adding people after campaign approval changes the recipient decision; do not silently expand the approved audience.
Read outcomes accurately
Marketing messages need a visible, working unsubscribe link. Recheck opt-outs before dispatch. Provider acceptance does not prove inbox delivery. When a timeout leaves an outcome unknown, review evidence instead of resending blindly. A pixel open alone does not prove human engagement.
Common mistakes
- Counting opens as confirmed humans
- Restarting a message when its outcome is unknown
How to approach this in Maptinger
Choose a content type and recipient source in Send Mail. Sending requires a connected, authorized mail account. Check a sample recipient in the final preview first; creating an account does not send a campaign.
Inbox placement is not guaranteed. Sending connections, approval, opt-out, capacity and credit checks apply.
