How to plan sales meetings with calendars and follow-up
A meeting's purpose, participants and next step matter as much as its time. A calendar invitation alone does not complete a sales process.

Check availability and time zones
Separate a proposed time from a confirmed booking. An invitation should state the date, the participant's time zone, duration, meeting location or link, and a short agenda. Synthetic agenda: understand the current process → discuss two open questions → agree who owns the next step. When proposing 14:00 in Türkiye, verify the counterpart's local time for that date rather than assuming a fixed offset all year.
Separate connection status from booking status
A connected calendar does not prove a booking was created. Track requests, confirmation, cancellation and sync errors separately. Do not show success for an incomplete action after a connection loss, or duplicate a booking when retrying.
Record the post-meeting task
After a meeting, add a short note and dated next step. Do not infer attendance or purchase decisions solely from a calendar event. Email, CRM and calendar records may be linked while retaining their own approval and ownership boundaries.
Common mistakes
- Treating a connected account as a confirmed booking
- Interpreting a calendar event as a completed sale
How to approach this in Maptinger
Check calendar connections and permissions in Meetings. Set a duration, time zone and available time, then verify the booking's actual status. Add a follow-up note and next task after the conversation.
Calendar provider, account permissions and availability checks apply. Connecting an account does not grant unrestricted external authority.
